WELCOME to salto, to casa wirth
Love plays an important role in his life. Peter fell in love with Uruguay and Salto in particular. He loves its people, its history, its culture and the colonial Gaucho tradition. It reminded him of San Miguel de Allende. He speaks fluently Swiss German dialect, Spanish, English, Italian, German, French as well as a little Portuguese and Mandarin.
CHRISTINE von Bonstetten has her roots in old Switzerland. Her family left Switzerland in the early 50s and landed in Uruguay. Her biggest passion are horses. All her life she has bred and won awards with Criollo and Arab horses. Today she also breeds Aberdeen Angus cattle at her estancia.. The "Estancia Don Pipo" is personally run by Christine and a team of Gauchos. She loves to introduce you to the world she grew up in, the heart of Uruguay. She speaks fluently Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. Some people say, she even speaks "Criollo" and "Angus" with her animals... Nobody will show you the wide open grasslands on a horseback better than her.
