Free your mind on the back of a horse
Once in South America and in Uruguay, you want to go out into the vast prairies of grazing land, forests and rivers. Christine's "Estancia Don Pipo" is just 20km outside of Salto and it is definitely the best place to recharge your batteries with fresh clean air! We arrange trips to the estancia and will drive you there. You can visit for the day, ride on the well bred Criollo horses, or even stay overnight. On the way there is a famous pilgrim site called "Gruta de Padre Pio" that we can stop at to visit.
On her 1'000 ha large property Christine raises more than 100 Criollo and Arab horses, keeps a cattle herd of 400 Aberdeen Angus, 100 sheep, chicken and of course we have our beloved labradors. Here you can take a ride on one of our well-tempered Criollos and get a new perspective from the back of a horse. On request we prepare great asados (Uruguayan BBQs) and offer overnight-stays at one of the two traditional and cozy Gaucho huts.

A WARM WELCOME FROM US
